Joining the Open Source Team at Talend

At January 1st I started work for Sopera GmbH which forms the Application Integration division of Talend. My work will be mainly focused on the open source projects Apache CXF and Apache Camel. I am working in the team lead by Daniel Kulp. Our job there is to work with the community to improve the Apache integration products and to form the open source basis of the commercial ESB product that Talend offers based on the Apache products. It was a tough decision for me to leave my quite safe job at EnBW and start working in a rather startup like company. In the end I decided to do the step mainly because of the chance to work on the Open Source projects full time and to work directly with some great people from the Apache Community that form DanĀ“s team.
